Hi, I’m Pam Christian and I can’t wait for you to get acquainted with me and my work! My passion and the focus of my work are to explore difficult life issues and find real solutions that will enhance your life and secure your future.

I’ve bristled at the idea of being ”branded” because I don’t want to be restricted to one topic. I’m a television and radio host, a national speaker and author with a natural and endless curiosity about life and a passion to help others. So when I was once introduced as ”The people’s most trusted advocate” (aka Advocate Angel) I was found my brand! And besides, it works with a last name like Christian!

How I got to all I’m doing (and loving it!), has been quite a ride.

In the early 1990′s I found myself helping to start a class for Community Bible Study, an independent, international organization. In short order I realized that I was being called upon to be the Teaching Director. I took several days to pray about it because I’d never done anything remotely close to that before. Hesitantly, I stepped into the role and in time, I loved that position. Even at the time, I marveled at what God can do through a willing and, in all seriousness, an untrained person. Oh, I had plenty of business background. I’d owned a couple successful businesses, but I had no seminary training or teaching credentials. Just the same, the class grew and other classes were started from it and are still running strong today.

After nearly 7 years at that, we moved and I began receiving calls to speak for women’s retreats and conferences. That opened the doors for my national speaking ministry. It was during this season that I also began writing and getting published on a variety of topics and genres, which suits me perfectly. After about 7 years of doing that another change was apparent.

I heard an announcement that the radio station I faithfully listened to, (KBRT AM 740 in Southern California), was looking for a female talk-show host. It intrigued me. In fact, each time I heard the announcement the intrigue grew in intensity and was undeniable. I remember saying aloud, alone in my car, “God if this is You prompting me to apply, You need to give me some serious confirmation because who in their right mind would apply for a job with absolutely no training or experience?” [You are tracking aren't you? I had neither when I was called to Teach the CBS class...]

Well, God gave me some serious confirmation and very reluctantly I called the station. I know about sales and marketing and how important it is to couch everything in the positive, so I deliberately inquired asking, ”You’re not still looking to fill the female host position, are you?” And the answer was, “Well yes we are.” I knew then that I had to take the next step, which I did, reluctantly.

To make a long story short, I ended up auditioning for the job and came in THE runner up. I wailed. During the months of “reluctant obedience” God birthed in me a passion for radio and at that point NOT to get the job devastated me. I wailed for months. When I finally composed myself, my husband and I agreed that it sure seemed God was calling me and I apparently had enough aptitude to come in THE runner up. I then contacted Rich Buhler who is accredited with the forerunner to Christian Talk Radio and he offered to train me. Though he’s trained many broadcasters, I was the first he offered to train. Amazing.

Rich taught me all he could from behind a desk and it was time to go on air. Air time is VERY expensive and my husband and I had no money to spend on such an endeavor. I called a very fiscally conservative CPA and former elder of our church and shared about my opportunity for a two-hour weekly talk show to broadcast throughout all of southern California during the summer months of 2003. With his referring me to several business owners, in short order, I had sponsors and donors sufficient to pay for one full month’s broadcasting. I signed the papers for all three months on faith. Rich said the most I should expect to recover is half of the costs. But, when it was all said and done, at the end of the 3 months, I secured enough money to cover all the costs and even pay myself handsomely for a job well done. Truly amazing.

My success on KBRT is part of what landed me the job as host for the daily, evening drive time, two-hour talk-show on KFAX AM1100 in San Francisco in 2005. I LOVED that job. And as with the previous radio show, I got to talk about all sorts of topics – political, social, pop culture, religion and more! I not only loved it, it turned out I was good at it, evidenced by the increase in income for the sponsors and for the fund-raising clients. So you can imagine how I wailed when God directed me to resign, which I did, reluctantly.

My last day on air, a wonderful Israeli born Pastor, Saeed Awad, was my in-studio guest. He looked at me during a break and said, “You know, I’ve been known to speak prophetically.” Well, when someone says that much, you know there’s something more to follow, so I listened and he said, “I see you on TV.” I looked at him and said, “I’ve been told that before but you are the first to claim to say it prophetically.” I’d already seen what God can do with a person with no education or training more than once, so I didn’t flinch at the possibility.

Returning home to southern California I took classes in television production 1 and 2. Shortly afterward, God inspired me with a television program idea which I wrote up and registered and then ran by Phil Cooke, a well known and highly respected producer, who said the idea was brilliant. I naturally asked if I could quote him!

I have been working to get the program produced since and have also been asked to produce and co-host another show with Becky Baker, which is currently in production. I’ve also been invited to be the channel host for “Talk It Up!” on www.WebTV4Women.com where both these programs will be broadcast very soon. Utterly amazing.

So, here I am in the position to explore all sorts of topics with the sole purpose of being help to others! Whether it be my national speaking and writing ministry through Pamela Christian Ministries at www.pamelachristianministries.com or my seminar programs under the name, “What You Don’t Know…” at www.wydk.org, or my radio and TV work, I get to explore all sorts of topics, always from the premise of helping others find solutions to real life issues. Pinch me!

I want you to poke around to learn more about me so you can see why I’m referred to as “The people’s most trusted advocate.” And I want you to let me hear from you. Tell me what life issues you’re dealing with so I can help you find the solutions you need. Check out the rest of my blog, beginning with the “What You Don’t Know…” home page. Oh, and another site I nearly kept from you, www.blessyourheartcampaign.com Once you read or hear my story there, you’ll understand why I’m so focused on helping others find the life solutions they desperately need. One doesn’t experience what I did only to live a self-serving life.

If you are a woman seeking answers to real and daunting life concerns; if you’ve been living with unanswered questions because research to find answers seems overwhelming; if the current economy, events and news reports cause you confusion, anxiety or fear, you need a trustworthy advocate – someone who is in your court, researching answers and providing solutions in your behalf. You need me.

I am Pamela Christian and I will address matters that concern you, and those you love, the most. You can learn about me on my “About Me” page.

Here are some of the topics I’ll be sharing with you:

Personal Matters: What is pornography’s impact on marriage? What is the impact of divorce on family? What can we do to reduce our risk of heart disease?

Social Matters: How do we respond to moral relativism? How effective is the registered sex offenders registry? Is our public school system failing us and our kids?

Political Matters: What is the monetary impact of illegal aliens? Why are ammunition purchases now limited for citizens? What are the differences in the political platforms of the Democrat, Republican and the Independent parties?

Religious Matters: How is religious tolerance really being lived out? Are all religions equal? What is a world-view?

Global Matters: What is the evidence for global warming? Why should we care what happens in the middle east? What role do we want the United Nations to play in global matters?

Relief Matters: The importance of humor in a serious world! What’s the best method for tattoo removal? What is the 101st way to cook a chicken?

Life is huge. There’s a lot to know. And in this “Age of Information” there’s more information available than we can possibly take in, and not all of it is trustworthy. So for your sake, and for the sake of those you love, here’s what I want you to do:

Check my Blog regularly. Contact me with topics that concern you and for which you want answers. Help build a community of truth seekers. Refer me and my work to others.

Why? Because trust of main-stream media is at an all time low. Trust in our government is lowest in decades. Trust in much of what we’ve personally accepted and believe, is uncertain. It’s time we reconsider what we believe and why we believe it so that we can live our lives with security and confidence.

For this reason, I’ve housed all my work under the name, “What You Don’t Know…” Because in truth, it’s what we don’t know that will kill us.

I’m not the expert on every topic. Instead, I am the expert on finding answers – answers we all need. There are countless “talking-heads” who espouse the problems, but I am one who seeks the solutions. Enhancing your life. Securing your future. That’s what I’m about. And that’s precisely what you can expect with every thing I do and every entry on this Blog.

Your concerns, your quality of life, your protection of your loved ones – all this and more will be addressed right here by me, Pam Christian – Your Advocate Angel.

Being under or unemployed is truly devastating in many more ways than simply not having a paycheck.

Those who know me or who have heard me speak, know that my husband and I were unemployed in the early 1990′s when our children were kindergarten age and younger. It was truly devastating in many more ways than simply not having a paycheck.

We’d moved to a new community because David landed a dream of a job that did turn out to be a dream; one most accurately characterized as a nightmare. My husband, a VP, having earned a most impressive income and with excellent experience and references, suddenly lost his job. I was a work-at home mom and my income was certainly not enough to carry us. Though I was also highly qualified for other work, the economy and job market was such that there were no viable jobs to be had. My husband worked days as a school crossing guard and floral deliveryman, sometimes delivering flowers to people he’d employed. He worked nights as a graveyard shift tow-truck driver. I worked retail on weekends and nights. We were ultimately unemployed for what turned out to be four long years and after the second year, we lost our home to foreclosure.

David had to give up his company car when he lost his job, leaving us only one. And I was very concerned that this family of 4 would be living in that car. Gratefully some friends took pity on us and gave us the car they used to tow behind their motor home – a 1978 Mercury Bobcat. But, I remember thinking with gratitude that we’d at least have two cars to live in. It came very close to a reality, but we managed to find another home that was in the foreclosure process which we could rent until it sold.

This is just the main story. The back stories are even more devastating. Everything we believed in was shaken to the core. “If you work hard and honest you’ll be rewarded.” “Good marriages can weather any storm.” Even our faith was challenged. We fought depression every day. Our health suffered for the stress of it all and for not having medical or dental insurance. And our marriage and relationships with family and friends suffered greatly too.

Do you relate with my story? Do you have loved ones who are going through this? I want to help.

I’ve been working to help people through various life challenges since the early 1990′s with my work as a radio host, national speaker and author. [You can learn more at www.pamelachristianministries.com where my biography and list of credits are provided.] But especially now with the economy and under and unemployment being even greater today, I am working hard to be of help. I didn’t know the totality of what to expect when we were going through unemployment. But for having done so, I am now uniquely able to help others.

I’ve developed a free seminar, “What You Don’t Know About Under or Unemployment: An Emotional, Practical and Spiritual Guide” and an accompanying Workbook. The Workbook is designed to help walk you through each aspect of the reality of being under and unemployed, first concentrating on getting you to a much better mental and emotional state so you can present your best self during an interview. That must be the first order of business because “you” are the product you must market. For many men, the help I provide to identify and deal with destructive emotions and self doubt is especially beneficial, since they don’t generally acknowledge their emotions the same as women. In fact, Brad Remillard, Career Coach and Co-owner of Impact Hiring Solutions, http://www.impacthiringsolutions.com/ welcomed me and my seminar with open arms. During his over 20 years in the industry, he’s seen countless men and women “in transition” putting on a game face during the interview, when they were clearly a mess emotionally and mentally. His company is not equipped to help, but I am.

My Workbook also offers a wealth of resources to help you effectively network, rebrand and market yourself. It is packed with tremendous resources for health insurance alternatives, foreclosure options, employment resources and a whole lot more. Read what “The Christian Examiner” had to say about the seminar and Workbook. Send me an Email and I’ll return a complimentary PDF copy to you. Just write “The Christian Examiner” in the subject line.

I am among the few who really understands what you are dealing with. That’s why I have worked hard to research and develop materials to help. It began as a six-week course and has now been condensed into a day-long intensive seminar. I present the seminar at no charge as evidence of my genuine concern and desire to help. And more, I drastically discount the Workbook at seminars.

My husband and I experienced others trying to (and sometimes successfully) exploiting us when we were in a time of great need. More than one person offered David temporary work and then when David delivered, they paid him half of what was agreed. It’s so painful. I want to help you avoid a lot that we didn’t know about.

“What You Don’t Know About Under and Unemployment: An Emotional, Practical and Spiritual Guide” is a labor of compassion that allows me to express my sincere passion, which is simply to invest in others, helping them. A tag line given me is “Your most trusted life advocate.” I like that and will continue to do all I can to live up to it. You can read the testimonials from some who’ve attended the course on the web site www.wydk.org.

I’d like to hear from you. You’ve read the blog. Hopefully you’ve visited my web sites. And if you or someone you love is suffering under or unemployment, be sure to share this blog with them. Compassionate, effective help is available.
